Italian writer Roberto Tommaso di Casanova has coined a new term, which he hopes will be more accessible to the wider literary community.
Tommasos book is called Punto, which is short for pun.
In it he suggests that when you use a pun, you should aim to convey something that’s not very clear or not obvious, to be less confusing to the reader, and to be more memorable.
The pun also serves as a kind of verbal “fingerprint” for the author.
Toms book, he tells me, “was written in a different language, but is nevertheless a very good book”.
Tommos book has some very good points: it’s witty, witty and often funny.
And it’s also well written, in part because of its use of words and phrases.
But in my opinion, Tommos pun is also lacking in depth.
It’s only four sentences long, and its most interesting is the last:It’s a pun on the Italian word for “to get out of bed”, “pozole”, which in English means “a way of life”.
Toms pun on “pozos” is a pun that comes from the phrase “to take a shit”.
This pun is about being embarrassed by oneself and by the fact that you’re a human being.
Tomboy puns have been around for a long time, from Shakespeare to Pee Wee Herman.
They are usually meant to be funny, and in Tommes case, the pun is not at all.
In fact, I don’t think he’s been trying to make a pun out of a pun at all, which could be seen as a bit of a waste of time.
I think that Tomms pun is too narrow and too shallow.
He’s using a pun from a different culture, a pun based on his own culture.
I think that this is a mistake, and that a pun should reflect the culture in which it is used.
The first sentence of his book is actually very interesting:It describes how to make your own puns, which are very good, because there’s no need to think about how to use the words properly.
The book ends with an anecdote about how Tommis grandmother died.
The author was asked to write an essay on the subject, and he wrote it in three days.
This is one of the most interesting things I’ve read in years.
I thought, I’m very grateful for this.
He uses a lot of words, but the sentences are not too long and the words are very well written.
The end of the book is a short story called ‘Cannonese’, which I found to be very well done, and which I thought was a nice little introduction to the puns.TOMS PUN: An Italian Poetic Dictionary by Roberto Tomano di Castello.
